Slaven Billic part 1

 Inside out

Slaven Billic revealed some time ago his friends questioned why he was joining West Brom he told them that managing in the championship was on his tick list of things to do in Football.

The Croatian , unveiled as the boss some time ago rejected claims that he had unfinished business in England after his sacking from West Ham and claimed the Albion job had massive appeal to him and had no aim other than promotion back to the prem.

I think all Albion fans have massive respect and find his passion a great attraction to the Albion faithful.

Promotion was the objective and it was completed with a stutter towards the end. But I think the covid break has great benefit for Leeds and had the opposite effect for the Albion as it knocked us off our stride. The reason it had benefits for Leeds is this the Bielsa hectic press has major effects on his players and his sides have been known to fade away in long seasons. This happened the season before and I have no doubt that the gruelling 46 game league season that’s not including cup competitions would of had the same effect and if the Baggies had not had the break their stride wouldn’t of been broken Leeds would of faded and Albion would of been champions, that wasn’t the case but the same goal was achieved. West Brom will survive we need a few additional players but the raw talents their the want to play for Billic is clear to see and if he harnesses the youth with experience then the Albion will surprise come the end of season.
