Weekend round up 6/10/2020

So a busy week in the land of football and champions Liverpool thrashed at second season wonders VILLA 7.2  uuuuups on merseyside. But Liverpool now fighting not just to stop the rot but to halt the spread of coronavirus. On Merseyside the covid numbers are increasing at the same pace as Liverpool's score lines but covid is playing another game with the reds and that's knocking players for six. The score line amuses the country as the jokes on them for a change. But on a serious note we hope and wish the players a speedy recovery. So the game, were Liverpool had 70% of the play, the same amount of goal line pressure the only difference on the day was olley watkins. And he has proved himself to be a bargain buy. With West Brom still hunting a striker he would of been a perfect fit for the other West  midland outfit, a hat trick and the match ball to take away proved he is a of  premier league quality and so the future looks bright and good for the young ex  Brentford star. So the rest of football must be extremely worried as I see a full National lock down approaching as teams who get effected by the virus and loose a number of players will surely say it's unfair to compete with squads that fall short because of corona. So as Christmas approaches, will we see a fixture list or a boxing day game I think not. This crisis is about to bite again and when will stadiums be allowed to be filled again. It's science fiction come true, And carrying on in the football world without fans in the stadium becomes more and more of a joke. Le Bron James said at the beginning of this crisis what's the point playing Basketball with no fans. It also proves how in the English game the supporters have become obsolete, well because of pay per view and subscription, fans, Supporters alike have no pull because of TV. It,s becoming a full arm chair spectator sport and so as i've mentioned before what happens if football does not return and fans take on different hobbies and past times, spend their allowance on other activities and find it cheaper and more enjoyable. Also they get the best of both worlds because now they have become accustomed to watching on TV. Will the fans return.
